Colin Hanton is the original drummer in John Lennon’s Quarry Men. He was still drumming with John when Paul McCartney and George Harrison joined the group, and drummed on “In Spite Of All The Danger”. Colin and The Quarry Men still perform selected shows to this day.
Colin Hall is currently out on a 60+ date sell-out UK tour with “Whispering Bob Harris” telling the story of “The Songs The Beatles Gave Away” (Colin’s second book). Hall was the award-winning custodian of “Mendips”, John Lennon’s former childhood home in Woolton, for twenty years. Together with Bob Harris, Colin made the BBC Radio 2 Sony Award winning documentary, “The Day John Met Paul”.
Together both Colins wrote Colin Hanton’s popular memoir of his days in the Quarry Men titled “Pre:Fab!” which has now been made into a feature-length documentary starring Col Hanton himself, alongside all the surviving members of the Quarry Men and featuring an all new interview with Sir Paul McCartney. Joe Brown, Billy Bragg and Peter Asher also appear together with archival film footage and commentary from Mark Lewisohn, Bob Harris and Colin Hall.
Tom McConnell from Liverpool is a young, well-known, multi-talented instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, film-maker and leader of his amazing conceptual rock band “Novelty Island”. The band is currently touring the UK and have released two albums to huge critical acclaim: “How Are You Coping With This Century?” (2021) and “Wallsend Weekend Television” (2023).
