This workshop is a perfect place to start if you’re a hand weaving beginner or want a refresher course on the basics. Enjoy this fun and informative workshop with a glass of wine in hand.
Kirsty will demonstrate thread by thread how to set up a frame loom and accomplish different woven techniques. You will then be able to try these patterns out for yourself, weaving with a variety of yarns and materials, from organic cotton, lustrous wools, silks and other textured and fancy yarns. Kirsty has a selection of over 100 yarns to experiment with, so there’s plenty to choose from!
Learn more about the fabulous craft of weaving whilst progressing at your own pace, this class is designed to be fun, yet engaging. A glass of red or white wine is included in the course price, but if you’d prefer a non-alcoholic drink these are available too. All yarns will also be provided, but if you have some at home that you’ve been saving for that special project, please bring them along!
Typical class sizes hold a maximum of 8 students so you will have plenty of individual attention and time to complete your project during this session.
