Last week was emotional for the MM team as we cleared out our Liverpool store. This happened a couple of weeks earlier than originally planned, and was a bitter sweet day for us all. We were sad to see this beautiful space, which over the past 4.5 years has been filled with so much creativity, joy and laughter, turn into an empty shell again. However, the amount of support we have received from our creative community and customers has really kept us going – adding a special mention here for the wonderful team of people that showed up to help us on the day, this was truly heart-warming and a reminder of the amazing friendships that were built during our time here. This generosity of spirit truly outweighs the sadness we feel to leave this space.
MerseyMade has always been about community and we have strived to put people at the heart of everything we do. We feel very proud and honoured to have been able to give so many talented local artists & makers a platform to present & sell their goods and we cannot wait to continue to do so in our next Liverpool home. In the meantime please continue to show your support by visiting our MerseyMade West Kirby store. We are in the final stages of expanding the online offering on our website, this is something we have been planning for a while now and we’ll keep you informed of any updates via our e-mail newsletter and social media.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers. Over the past few weeks we have received so many kind words, phone calls and messages of encouragement and support – this really does mean so much to us all. MerseyMade is nothing without you and we promise we will do our best to find our beautiful new home as soon as possible.
