Our very own nail artist, Kristen, got a break between clients and let us know what she is doing this festive period, however limited her free time is.
From sparkles to cosy winter fires, she’s using her time wisely.
How cosy it is! Getting all wrapped up in front of the fire with a hot chocolate and a Christmas film.
And in terms of work, I really love the festive nail art. The blues and silvers as we’re going into the colder weather, the reds and greens into December, it’s nice seeing everyone get excited. It’s a communal feeling of excitement.
Reflect on how much you’ve done. I know many people do that around New Years, but that’s usually stressful. Doing this around Christmas helps me focus more on the positives. And if there are negatives, I’ll deal with them later.
MerseyMade is my Liverpool home. I live over the water and also work there half of the week, so coming over here was my chance to expand my customer base and my business.
It’s shown me that I do have something special, that I have the capability to continue to progress and I have absolutely loved meeting all of my lovely Liverpool clients.
I recently made candles! It was a lot of fun and way more relaxing than I first expected.
It’s important to constantly try new things, not only is it a break from the norm but it’s a chance to learn something new about yourself, to evolve and grow.
My family joke that I’m a workaholic. And there’s truth behind the claim. So actually, making time to do nice things with them over the festive period is really important. As much as I want to just keep on working, it’s the moments where I take a longer lunch or go home early that means the most to them. Because Christmas is about those little moments with those you love, not necessarily what you buy them.
