What do you do?
I create quirky interpretations of the family pet, local landmarks and the places you didn’t even know you needed to visit! My style is fun and colourful, combining watercolours with Liberty fabrics, machine stitching and sometimes a little sparkle.
What’s your favourite thing about working in the creative industry?
I love meeting other creatives and bouncing ideas off each-other. That’s why I love having a studio at MerseyMade, me and my studio buddies have so much fun and occasionally do some work!
What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?
I definitely think the past year has been a huge challenge for many of us. Not being able to attend the local markets as usual has been such a shame!
What has been the biggest highlight in your career so far?
It’s got to be featuring on the Liberty London Website! Liberty fabrics have always been a source of inspiration to me and I’m so excited and honoured to be included!
Who is the most inspirational woman to you? Did they inspire you to pursue a creative career?
I am surrounded by young women who inspire me to carry on as they have so much energy and passion for what they do! My daughter Kristen recently started her own nail-art business and seeing her enthusiasm really inspires me every day.
What is your advice for women who want to start a creative business or pursue a career in the creative industry?
Go for it! There are so many opportunities to make a living doing what you love these days so go after the things that make you happy!
See you in MerseyMade, Jenny x
